💔🚤 “Army Veteran Identified as Victim in Devastating Fox River Boat Crash as Suspect Remains in Custody”

MCHENRY COUNTY, Illinois. Authorities have identified Magdalena Jablonska, a 48-year-old U.S. Army veteran from Des Plaines, Illinois, as the woman who p4ss3d 4w4y following a devastating boating cr4sh on the Fox River.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office confirmed her idenтιтy after completing the notification process for her family. Preliminary autopsy findings determined that she d13d from catastrophic blunt-force injuries.

Investigators allege that Richard M. Stevenson, 45, of Lisle, Illinois, was operating a high-powered 31-foot Southbay pontoon boat when it struck the 20-foot Crownline carrying Magdalena Jablonska and her husband in a posted no-wake zone near the McHenry Dam.

Prosecutors allege the pontoon was traveling at nearly 80 miles per hour and that Stevenson had a blood alcohol concentration of approximately 0.236, nearly three times Illinois’ legal limit for operating a boat.

According to court records, Richard M. Stevenson has been charged with reckless homicide and aggravated boating under the influence causing d34th.

A McHenry County judge denied his request for pretrial release, ruling that he should remain in custody while the criminal case proceeds. His next scheduled court appearance is set for August 5.

Officials said Magdalena Jablonska’s husband survived the collision but sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Illinois Conservation Police, which is leading the investigation, continues reviewing witness statements, surveillance footage, and other evidence to determine the full sequence of events surrounding the cr4sh.

Authorities are also asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has pH๏τographs or video from the area to ᴀssist investigators.
