President Donald J. Trump is scheduled to travel to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Tuesday evening to attend the dignified transfer ceremony for three American service members who l0st their lives during recent Iranian missile and drone att4cks targeting Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
The ceremony marks the return of the fallen troops to the United States as military honors are rendered in the presence of their families.
The U.S. Department of Defense has identified the fallen service members as Private Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas; First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Hawaii; and Sergeant Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Pentagon officials said the three were serving in support of regional security operations when Iranian forces launched the attack on the base.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the President and the entire White House are praying for the families of the fallen service members ahead of the ceremony.
