Search Continues for Missing Fort Bragg Soldier Sayveon Anderson as Family Pleads for Answers

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — The search for U.S. Army Specialist Sayveon Anderson, 25, remains active more than two weeks after he was reported missing from Fort Bragg, as military investigators and local law enforcement continue working to determine what happened.

According to the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID), Sayveon Anderson was last seen on June 29 at Fort Bragg.

After he failed to report for duty, his chain of command notified his family, prompting an extensive search involving Army investigators and local authorities.

His mother, Pamela Anderson, has made repeated public appeals for help, saying her son’s disappearance is completely out of character.

She said she last spoke with him on June 27 and received a brief Instagram message the following day. Since then, she says there have been no phone calls, text messages or other communication.

Family members have traveled to North Carolina to ᴀssist with search efforts and have organized community vigils while asking anyone with information to come forward.

His wife, Jasmyne Mowry, who is expecting the couple’s first child, has also expressed hope that he will be found safely and has urged the public to continue sharing his information.

Investigators have interviewed witnesses, reviewed surveillance footage, examined travel records and searched locations connected to the case.

However, officials have not announced any evidence of foul play, nor have they identified a confirmed reason for Anderson’s disappearance. The investigation remains active.

Sayveon Anderson has served at Fort Bragg since 2021 with the 8th Ordnance Company, 3rd Corps Sustainment Command.

He is described as standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing between 260 and 270 pounds, with a chipped front tooth, a scar on one arm and several distinctive tattoos.

Authorities continue to ask anyone with verified information about his whereabouts to contact the appropriate law enforcement or Army investigative agencies immediately.
