KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas. A North Texas community is mourning the heartbreaking l0ss of Va’Necia Deshun Williams, 38, and her daughters, Sa’Niah Davis, 14, and A’veonia Davis, 9, after a devastating cr4sh on U.S. Highway 80 in Kaufman County.

The family’s beloved dog, Queenie, also p4ss3d 4w4y during the incident. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

According to preliminary findings released by Texas DPS, the family’s Hyundai became disabled while traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 80 late Sunday night.

Investigators said the vehicle came to a stop in the right lane of a bridge when an approaching 18-wheeler was unable to avoid the disabled vehicle and struck it from behind.

The impact pushed the vehicle over the bridge barrier, and Va’Necia Deshun Williams, Sa’Niah Davis, A’veonia Davis, and Queenie were pronounced d34d at the scene.

Relatives said the mother and her daughters had simply gone out to pick up something to eat before returning home for a family movie night.
