The Atlantic coast will be pummeled through Sunday night with up to eight inches of rain and 80 mph wind gusts, along with major coastal flooding, a weather expert told The Post.

Long Island and the Jersey Shore will be deluged with between four and eight inches of total rainfall through Sunday night, according to Senior AccuWeather Meteorologist Mike Doll.

Those areas will also be battered with ripping wind gusts of between 60 and 80 mph, Doll predicted.

Meanwhile, New York City is set to get between two and four inches of rain, the weather service revealed.

“In addition to the rain, significant coastal hazards will persist along the East Coast as the strong northeast winds coincide with high astronomical tides into early next week,” Doll said.
